Classic cars, modern platform
Dyler is an online marketplace for classic, sports, and exotic cars. With a database of over 10,000 listings, Dyler connects car enthusiasts and collectors with sellers across Europe and the U.S. The platform needed a design that matched its passion for unique vehicles, but they came to us without a brandbook or a clear visual identity.
We were tasked with creating an user experience that would appeal to car lovers while reflecting the rich history and value of the vehicles being sold. Our goal was to develop a modern, responsive platform with a retro-inspired aesthetic that made buying and selling classic cars feel special.

The challange
Finding Dyler’s Voice
Dyler came to us as a platform that had successfully built a passionate community around classic and exotic cars, but they were missing a cohesive brand identity. Without a brandbook, we had the opportunity to build something from the ground up, giving the platform its own voice and visual presence.
Inspired by vintage car ads from the ‘70s and ‘80s, we saw an opportunity to blend nostalgia with the digital experience. Those ads didn’t just sell cars—they sold a lifestyle. We wanted Dyler to evoke that same feeling, so we drew on the bold typography, minimal layouts, and retro imagery that brought car enthusiasts together in the past.

The process
Design direction
Our design process began with an exploration of classic car advertisements, allowing us to identify aesthetic patterns that could be incorporated into Dyler’s platform. We sought to create an experience that felt like flipping through a vintage car magazine, but with the efficiency of a modern digital product. We combined bold, minimalist typography with a clean, straightforward layout, ensuring the user experience was as enjoyable as it was functional. The colors and fonts were carefully selected to mirror the old posters while maintaining a sharp, contemporary look.

Final design
The final design successfully merged nostalgia with cutting-edge functionality. The homepage features classic, bold typefaces paired with sleek, modern elements, creating a balance that feels both familiar and fresh. The overall aesthetic captures the essence of vintage car ads while ensuring a visually appealing and cohesive experience across the platform. Each design element—from buttons to icons—was crafted to evoke a sense of luxury and passion for cars, ensuring users feel connected to the platform as they navigate through it.

EFFORTLESS Search and Easy Listing
The vehicle search function is central to Dyler’s user experience. We designed it to be intuitive and powerful, allowing users to filter by car type, brand, year, and other specifications. This enables buyers to find exactly what they’re looking for quickly. The search results display large images and essential details, creating a near showroom-like experience.
The car uploading flow is equally streamlined, encouraging sellers to list their vehicles effortlessly. We aimed to minimize friction in this process, guiding users step by step to ensure that they can share their cars with potential buyers in a matter of minutes.

Engaging User interface
The user interface is designed to facilitate various interactions, making it easy for users to manage their accounts and preferences. Key features include saved cars, uploaded listings, a reading list for articles, saved events, and messaging functionalities. Each of these elements is integrated seamlessly into the overall platform, ensuring a cohesive experience.
Intuitive navigation and a consistent layout across all UI elements create a sense of familiarity and ease, allowing users to engage with the platform effectively. Whether users are managing their listings or exploring saved content, the UI enhances their overall experience on Dyler.

Dyler’s user interface facilitates easy account management, allowing users to save favorite cars, access uploaded listings, and manage personalized reading lists. This creates a cohesive and engaging environment for user interaction.
